Agent - Petersen Streptobacillus Dyukreya. Infection by soft chancre occurs predominantly through sex and it is encountered, in essence, in the countries of Asia and Africa. Incubative period of 2-4 days. The pustules, which are rapidly converted into the ulcers, at first are formed on the spot of introduction. In contrast to the solid chancre (with syphilis) the ulcers are not infiltrated, soft consistency, it is very unhealthy. The healing of such ulcers occurs in 1-2 months with the cicatrization. Disease can be complicated by the defeat of lymphatic system, and also by the development of phimosis and paraphymosis. 
In a number of cases with the random sexual connections occurs simultaneous infection by shankroidom (soft chancre) and by syphilis. In such cases soft chancre at first is developed, and then in 3-4 weeks it is converted into the solid chancre and in its discharge they reveal pale treponemu.
